Inside Burj KhalifaThis section of my website is dedicated to the interior of Burj Khalifa. On behalf of "Fritz Kohl Furnierwerk", a well reputed international veneer company with headquarters in Germany, I was assigned to take pictures of the splendid veneer wood panels within the residential area of the tower for the company's product catalogue. Fritz Kohl has provided most of the veneers required for the fit out of Burj Khalifa - an area of incredible 300,000 square metres in total. Basically, the whole interior of the building is fitted out with these wood panels and they look just marvellous. In combination with impressive, high quality marble and a general superb finishing of all interior works the mix of materials creates a second to none atmosphere right when you enter the Residential Lobby of Burj Khalifa. The areas I have photographed include the Residential Entrance Lobby with its "World Voices" water sculpture, the small Deli Shop next to it, the Main Elevator Lobby, an exemplary Lift Lobby (which all look the same on each floor except for the artwork), an Amenity Area with its Staff Pantry, an empty apartment, and, last but not least, the Pool Area on the 43rd floor designated for residents. Roaming the building for seven hours I took some 350 photos in total, of which you will find a selection in the gallery below. I would like to thank Fritz Kohl for their trust in the quality of my photography. Furthermore, I would like to thank the management and the staff of Emaar Properties for making this shooting possible and for supporting me greatly along the way. |
